Patrick was raised in central Iowa and attended Iowa State University, graduating from ISU with a BS in Economics and History. He then attended the University of Iowa College of Law, and received his law degree and was admitted to the Bar in 1984. He also received an MBA from the University of Iowa. He has also done graduate work in Theology.
Patrick is licensed to practice law in Iowa and Illinois, and has practiced law for over 20 years in Iowa and Illinois. He has represented clients in a wide variety of cases, including personal injury, criminal, business/employment, litigation, will/probate, civil, juvenile, corporations and bankruptcy. He has represented clients at trial in various civil and criminal proceedings, including personal injury trials and major felonies (including murder).
